Fernando and his family came all the way from Mexico to participate in the Cesar Chavez ceremony at the Rhode Island State House.

Las Perlitas at the Sol Art Gallery exhibit

Ms. Paloma Callejas; Actual size=180 pixels wide

Ms. Paloma Callejas was crowned "Seņorita Independencia" during our festivities of the month of September. She also participated representing Mexico in Miss Rhode Island wearing the traditional mexican dress.

Representing the Mexican Consulate in Boston, Mr. Carlos Rico Ferrat (right) spoke a few words to honor the life and memory of Cesar Chavez.

Las Perlitas de Mexico performed at the Cesar Chavez ceremony in the State House. They also have three new mebers, who happen to be boys (below).

Our Lady of Guadalupe Altar in St. Edwards Church

The altar of Our Lady of Guadalupe inside St. Edward's Church. The altar was a small tribute from the mexican-american community of Rhode Island.
