Who We Are, Where We've Been

consuladomobil4.jpg

The Mexican Association is a non-profit organization dedicated to help Hispanic families in the Rhode Island area. It was founded by Mr. Julio C. Aragon in 1996. Since then, Its purpose has been to provide general assistance to families.

Today, our association provides assistance to more than nine hundred families in southern New England. Though we are a small group of volunteers, we all share the same cause of helping families, promoting education, and participation in youth cultural and sporting events in our community.

The association is currently looking for volunteers interested in serving the community or in organizing cultural and sporting events. During cultural events, we offer Mexican traditional Mexican dance performances by a children's dance group called "Las Perlitas de Mexico." St. Edward's Church; Actual size=240 pixels wide

St. Edward's Church has opened its doors to host many of our community events; such as Our Lady of Guadalupe's festivities. Located at 997 Branch Ave. in Providence, it helps us bring families together from different communities because it's in a central area. For that and many other services provided by the church, we would like to say thanks.
